Students assess local fire risk then apply the fire triangle to consider ways to reduce the observed risks. They listen to a podcast to rate their own property's fire danger. They use an online photo program to produce a photo-story describing the fire danger risk. They discuss bushfire survival plans and apply their findings to a hypothetical case study. Students learn about the various fire services and emergency agencies and how and when to contact them.

Students role-play and debate, consider a hypothetical case study, and design posters.
